Launch of Liquor Friday’s Summer Garden Sessions at No. 21 Digbeth
Every month the Taste and Liquor crew will change the theme of their new Summer Garden Sessions but for the first blast it’s a full on rum rumble. Rum cocktails, rum punch, rum everything. In addition to lashings of the sailor’s favourite tipple there will be the usual array of delicious street food all complemented by some of the coolest DJ’s spinning wicked grooves all night.

Transmission at The Black Hole Club
Two days of audio experimentation hosted by The Black Hole Club and Vivid Projects down at that hotbed of innovative art The Minerva Works. Centre stage goes to a live streaming performance from musician Jeff Kolar alongside installations and artwork from several Black Hole Club artists including Alex Billingham and Coral Manton.

Poetry Art Exchange at Centrala
Spend an afternoon bathing in the beauty of words in this unique cultural exchange between Romanian and UK poets at Centrala. Not only will several poets such as Margento and Stephen Watts be giving readings of their work, there will be discussion and Q & A sessions. Under the Blossom that Hangs on the Bough – Pram at Martineau Gardens
Local sonic experimenters Pram have been working closely with the for-Wards musical project creating a unique aural adventure sculpted from sounds collated from the South Birmingham wards of Edgbaston, Harborne, Quinton and Bartley Green. The installation will be followed by a live performance from Pram. Bring a picnic and enjoy the beautiful Martineau Gardens whilst you’re there.
