The self-styled ‘world’s most glamorous clubbing brand’ has enjoyed an illustrious history since opening its doors in 1993. Based in Hockley, Miss Moneypenny’s quickly developed a reputation for its extravagant parties and virtuoso DJ sets, outlasting its competitors to become one of the longest-running house music clubs in the UK and Europe. Since then the clubbing brand has branched out into radio and journeyed overseas to Ibiza and beyond, but this November it comes home for its first Birmingham show in eight years. And it’s going to be something special: think all your favourite Miss Moneypenny’s classics of the last 25 years backed by a sixty-piece orchestra. Think lasers, pyrotechnics, confetti and the best lights show imaginable. Add to this the unmistakeably flamboyant pomp of Chuff Chuff and you get A Night at the Proms, a musical bonanza following in the house-goes-classical footsteps of Pete Tong and Haçienda Classical.
